Training & Development
UCH provides extensive training opportunities in management development, computer training, dementia care and resident behaviour management courses to name a few. Maintaining current knowledge of skill levels ensure our residents and clients receive the best care in a safe environment. UCH pays staff to attend training and is committed to ensuring UCH is a rewarding and stimulating environment to be a part of.

UCH has a well implemented and developed competency based training package for all relevant staff on moving and transferring residents safely. This is based on "no-lift" principles and works to protect staff and residents from injury or accidents. This culture and environment of ensuring all staff are safe and supported within the workplace is well entrenched at UCH. Staff are provided with the training and equipment to ensure residents are moved in a safe manner for them and staff.
Registered Nurses
Uniting Church Homes can offer you positions in our residential facilities North or South of the river depending upon your choice. You can choose to work full time, part time or on a casual basis. UCH offers competitive salaries including salary packaging plus flexible working arrangements.
Are you interested in Community Care?
Uniting Church Homes facilitates a community program that is an extended Aged Care at Home program designed to provide a high level of home care equivalent to the care the resident receives in a nursing home.
The UCH program is known as EACH and operates from North and South locations. A number of Registered Nurses are responsible for providing and Co-ordinating the care to the clients. Under the program a number of services are provided such as:- Nursing, Medication, Treatment, Wound Care and Personal Care
You have the ability when you work in the community to have flexibility in your hours and days which you choose to work.
The teamwork that exists within the Community is what makes it what it is. This team consists of Registered Nurses, Personal Carers, Administration and support from Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists.
