Community Centre
The Sutton Community Centre reopened in early 2010 following extensive renovations. The cornerstone of the centre is the spacious hall/general function area with access to stage -itself a flexible space providing an additional upper level room for other activities when required.Other amenities include kitchen and coffee lounge, craft room, library and various other multi -purpose activity and lounge areas. One side of the centre opens to the Tranby garden area through a series of French windows.
 
The Terrace
The Terrace features a beautifully furnished dining room, al fresco area on the deck to the side and cafe at the front. A cosy lounge is situated in the entry -a great place to enjoy a coffee.The Terrace serves lunch daily to residents and visitors is ideal for residents’ formal and informal functions. 

Charles Jenkins Club Room
The Charles Jenkins Club Room is available to all independent living residents on the ground floor of the Charles Jenkins building and comprises small kitchen, lounge areas and billiard table.
Bowling Club
The Bowling Club on Jenkins Avenue is available for play and welcomes new members at any time. Residents also partake of indoor bowls at the Sutton Community Centre.

Resident Workshop
The Resident Workshop, situated in the basement of The Terrace is available for use by Rowethorpe independent living residents.
Recreational and Social Activities
Living at Rowethorpe means you can become as involved in communal and social activities as you wish. The majority of organised activities on site are arranged by the residents themselves and theSocial Committee welcomes new members at any time.Activities include Wine & Cheese Nights, Diner’s Club restaurant outings, concerts, quiz, Book Club, Writers’ Group, Bowling Club and many more with suggestions welcome at any time.
Rowethorpe Medical Centre
UCH operates Rowethorpe Medical Centre (enter from Hilltop Drive at the rear of the Administration building).The Centre is open for patient consultations five days per week with our three attending GP’s, who also make visits to our onsite residential aged care facilities, and a part time Practice Nurse.We promote a management approach to healthcare, especially with regard to chronic disease.The practice is available by calling Tel: 6363 6315 during business hours.  Please click here for latest newsletter.

Holiday Apartment
Rowethorpe has a one-bedroom, self-contained Holiday Apartment available for visiting friends and family and which can accommodate up to two persons. The apartment comes fully furnished with all kitchenequipment and linen.
