Annesley is Uniting Church Homes’ flagship building boasting state of the art facilities for older West Australians requiring different spectrums of care and accommodation. Annesley has been a major part of an overall long term redevelopment project occurring at Rowethorpe
Annesley can accommodate up to 104 aged persons in a combination of single rooms with private ensuite and shared rooms with shared en-suites
Site Description
Annesley offers various 3 tiers of care and accommodation including high care with bonds, high care mainstream, dementia specific and low care dementia specific.
Varied activities are integrated into the daily lives of each resident. Facilities available include, but not are not limited to, a gymnasium for maintaining physical function, chapel for services and quiet reflection, a café and an overnight room for families.
All residents receive meal, domestic services, personal care assistance, activities, chaplaincy and emergency assistance.Services
High Care - Mainstream
The Alan Barr wing is situated to the northwest of Annesley and can accommodate up to 44 aged persons. Beautifully appointed single rooms with ensuite and shared rooms with shared ensuite are offered depending on preference and availability.
A separate dining room, activities room and several quiet lounges are available for residents and visitors to access. Two enclosed courtyards and gardens are also accessible for those enjoying the outdoors.
High and Low Care - Dementia Specific
The Gill Currie wing of Annesley is situated to the south of the building and accommodates 20 high care and 20 low care aged persons with dementia. The area is fully secured allowing residents to access all areas of the house, inclusive of the outdoors with a safe environment. Discreet monitoring technology ensures residents maintain their safety however can move about their home with ease.
High care dementia services include the same services as high care mainstream.
Specific activities are designed and integrated into the daily lives of the residents which are appropriate to the differing needs of those suffering with dementia and other related illnesses.
Access to the chapel, hair salon, podiatrist, spa room and snoezelen (specially designed room) is available to all residents residing in the Gill Curry wing when they are accompanied by staff or a family member
Extra Services
The George Idle wing provides premium accommodation and quality services for persons requiring high level care.
The George Idle wing includes 20 private rooms with ensuite. Special touches such as quality furnishings and fittings are of a superior standard.
Extra services available include a range of optional social and recreational activities including pamper parlour, tai chi and reflexology.
Facilities such as private gardens, cappuccino and hot chocolate machine and plasma TVs in common areas are also available.
Equipment such as adjustable electric beds, set top boxes, computer Foxtel connection are also available.
Varying selections of food and beverages are on offer as a part of the George Idle wing services. A la Carte meals and a choice of wines are served in the delightfully appointed dining room with a selection of snacks and non-alcoholic beverages available 24 hours a day.
Fees and Charges
Accommodation Bonds of up to $450,000 are chargeable for low band dementia specific Extra service accommodation bonds start at $450,000.
Accommodation Payments may be chargeable for high band main stream and dementia specific.
The accommodation payments are all income tested.
Fortnightly fees are levied with the minimum charge approximating 85% of the aged pension (currently $430.78 per fortnight).

Application Process
All applicants for residential facilities require an ACAT (Aged Care Assessment Team) assessment.
Applicants are requested to provide a copy of their current ACAT together with the UCH ‘Application for Permanent or Respite Accommodation in a UCH Residential Care Facility’ form and Centrelink Assets Assessment.
