Ella Williams is located north of the river in the metropolitan area of Noranda and was opened in November 2000 as a 60 bed inter-mixed nursing home and hostel care facility providing Ageing in Place.
Recent additions in September 2009 increased the bed numbers to 66. With a configuration of 36 High Care and 30 Secure Dementia Specific Low Care places.
Services provided include personal and clinical nursing care, therapy services and emotional wellbeing support. All residents have their own room and en-suite bathroom. Each room contains a bed, over bed table, a chair and is fitted with built in wardrobes and bed side lockers and a nurse call system.
The resident may bring their own personal items to personalise their rooms however, everyone must be mindful that the room should remain uncluttered at all times. There are three communal dining rooms, various lounge and activity areas, a therapy room, a hall/chapel, hairdresser and a small cafe.
