Hakea is a 6 place dementia specific low care Respite for Carers facility. To view Rowethorpe Hakea Brochure click here.
We can arrange for elderly people with dementia to stay whilst their carer has a break at home or away.
If the carer needs to go into hospital and receive care themselves, they are also welcome to stay at Hakea. The respite can be planned or an emergency need.
Built in 1989, Hakea became part of the National Respite for Carers Program (NRCP) in 2006 and is a home-style residence comprising six spacious self-contained units set around a shared lounge and dining area.
