Site Description

Rose Mount is a  resident-funded retirement centre developed and managed by Uniting Church Homes. The resident purchases a lease for a unit in much the same way as they would purchase any other home.  When they move out they sell their lease to a new occupant and UCH retains a small percentage of the sale price proportional to the length of time the person has been living in the village.  In this way, individual residents both benefit from any appreciation in the value of the unit and contribute to the capital costs. Costs of operating and providing common facilities and services are covered by a fortnightly service fee.

Rose Mount offers a wide variety of spacious housing designs from small apartments to larger 3 bedroom villas all set in beautifully landscaped gardens.  All are fully self-contained for independence and privacy and are equipped with 24 hour emergency call buttons monitored by the village Manager.

Services

 

Apartments

The 40 apartments are conveniently designed for easy-care living. Grouped in wings of no more than 7, the apartments form part of the main building with direct access in the Club facilities. There are 1 or 2 bedroom apartments in a variety of designs. Some have private courtyard or balcony and an optional carport.

Bungalows

The 9 bungalows form an attractive group, set slightly apart from the main building. Mainly 3 bedroom (one with 2 bedrooms) they have their own street frontage, large garden courtyard and lockable garage. They are light, bright and easy to furnish.

Hillcrest House

There are 6 cottages located in the most elevated position in the retirement village all offering delightful views to the Darling Ranges. There are 3 designs to choose from, all with 3 bedrooms, larger garden, courtyard or balcony, lockable storage and security access carport.

Cottages

There are 14 mews cottages and 6 Hillcrest cottages located in separate areas. These very popular designs provide for easy to maintain compact homes for both single people and couples. There are 1 or 2 bedroom Mews cottages and 2 bedroom Hillcrest cottages. They have garden courtyard or balcony, lockable storage and an optional carport.

The services and amenities are comprehensive. A swim in the pool, a game of pool, a game of cards or relax for a coffee and a chat.

Other Services

• Midday meals six days per week and evening happy hour/carvery once a week
• A hairdresser, podiatrist, masseuse and beautician, window cleaner visit on a regular basis.
• A carport is optional for those residing in the apartments and cottages.
• A workshop is available for the use of residents and there are also a number of storage bays available.
