Tranby is located north of the river at Mertome Village 30 Winifred Road, Bayswater. Tranby is a 70 bed low care facility with ageing in place and respite accommodation. Tranby is nestled in lush gardens within Mertome retirement Village and is within walking distance to Bayswater train station and public transport on Beechboro Road.
Services provided include personal and basic clinical nursing care, therapy services and emotional wellbeing support. There are 38 single rooms with ensuite bathrooms and 32 single rooms with shared ablutions. A nurse call system in each room enables residents to access assistance quickly in emergencies. Each resident is provided with a bed, over bed table, a chair, built in wardrobe, and bed side locker. The residents may bring their own personal items to personalise their rooms however, everyone must be mindful that the room should remain uncluttered at all times. Communal rooms include dining room and numerous lounge areas where visitors or residents are able to make a cup of tea or coffee at any time, a large activity room, a chapel, Doctors room, and a hairdresser’s salon. There are four large internal courtyards with easy access to all residents each courtyard has shaded and sunny areas with chairs and tables for residents use.
